Dr. Jennifer Hoffelmeyer
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Jennifer Hoffelmeyer is the lead veterinarian in the Adel office.  She joined CCAC in April of 2008. She is a 2004 graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to entering vet school she graduated from ISU College of Agriculture with a B.S. in Animal Science. In college she was an active member of the ISU Block and Bridle Club and Marching Band.She has practiced mixed animal medicine and most recently practiced in an exclusive small animal hospital in Des Moines for 3 years. Jennifer grew up in Madison County and was active in 4-H and many other activities in the Winterset Community School District. She now resides outside of Winterset and enjoys spending time with her husband, Peter, and their son, Ethan, and their pets; 3 dogs named Darby, Chester and Cassie; and 2 cats named Simon and Jake. In her free time, she will be cheering on the ISU Cyclones, spending time with family and friends and watching NASCAR.



Dr. John Holcomb
Veterinarian
Owner 

Dr. John Holcomb is the lead veterinarian in our Winterset office. He joins our animal health care team in Adel when needed. John graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995 and has been active in the animal health care field for 16 years. He has experience with small animals, large animals and equine with a special interest in surgeries. He also enjoys being active and involved in community activities where he is able to work with other families and watch their children and pets grow. John and his wife, Gretchen, have 2 children,  Mitch and Bridget. At home they have a cat named “Moo Moo”; a cat named “Wally”;  a dog named “Buck”; a dog named “Sassy”; cows and one horse.

Crystal Sharp
Crystal Sharp is our veterinary technician and joined our team in July of 2009. She has worked in the veterinary industry for over 12 years. She previously specialized in emergency medicine and orthopedic medicine. She graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a B.S. in Animal Science and a minor in Commercial Agriculture. Crystal is from Creston and enjoys photography, scrapbooking, camping and all outdoor activities. She has 2 English Mastiffs named Jewel and Molly and 2 cats named Callie and Squeaks.



Kristine Taylor
Kristine joined our animal health care team on February 7, 2011. She has one son, Devin, who is a junior at Dallas Center - Grimes High School. He is involved in football, golf, and videotapes the varsity girls and boys basketball games. She is originally from Storm Lake, but has lived in Dallas Center for the last 9 years. She attended Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, where she earned an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walking her 4 year old Puggle, Bently, making homemade dog treats, cooking and baking, watching movies and listening to music.






Emily Erickson

We would like to welcome Emily to our animal health care team. Emily began working as our clinic assistant in August of 2011. She has one sister named Sophie, who is 14, one dog named Wooley and two birds named Becky and Frankie. She currently attends Waukee High School where her favorite subject is Math. After graduating in 2013 she plans on going to college and then getting a job. In her free time, Emily enjoys listening to music.
