Adel Virtual Tour
Our History
The building in which the clinic is currently located was a dentist's office built in 1930. It was then converted into a veterinary clinic in 1950. Dr. Tom Holcomb came to Adel in 1970 and practiced both large and small animal veterinary medicine at this location until 1980 when the practice moved to Green Street. The building was then used as office space for several years until 1998, when Dr. Holcomb renovated the building and re-opened the veterinary practice in it. The office was originally called H.T. Holcomb. Tom began a special interest in canine reproduction in 1989 and has been a leader in advanced semen freezing and storage, ovulation timing, artificial insemination and c-sections. He has also donated large amounts of time and resources to rehabilitate wildlife for several years. Tom has been keeping busy since his retirement in the Fall of 2008 traveling and exploring his artistic abilities.
Come and experience the clinic with a 1930's atmosphere and twenty-first century technology!
